I need a little suggestion regarding what would be the best antivirus to use on my Acer Aspire One netbook. (260 GB HD, 1 GB RAM). The McAfee Antivirus that was provided with it is not a very good software, I must say. So I need a better alternative. If anyone is using Acer Aspire one netbook, please do leave some suggestions for me.

I asked this question before. Spyware doctor does not work, all it offers is a free scan,
to remove the viruses you have to purchase said program.
And Nortel Antivirus doesn’t show up when goin’ to the control panel and removing programs.
Any suggestions?

Getting offensive spam (imaged text offers etc so not easily blocked) on family email. Very keen to stop all or most, effectively, without slowing Outlook too much. Have Outlook Express, use POP3, have MacAfee suite (but not anti spam and heard bad reports that not effective and about how slows outlook) and Spyware Doctor. Advice please on compatible suitable UK product (don’t mind paying a bit pa to get results)- is Tiscali anti spam any good? Many thanks

Trojans and various forms of malware are becoming smarter and more dangerous and now often pretend to be legitimate programs or pose as "updates" even for real anti-virus software. How can I tell the difference between real updates/real programs and cleverly disguised updates or programs posing as them?

What is the best and good antivirus free license??

I have installed Norton Anti Virus before I realized that I could have used Spam Guard. I was wondering if I should change my anti virus or if I can add to the one I have? Also, if I should uninstall Norton and take advantage of Spam Guard? If that is possible please let me know
